You know, when I’m typing this, I’m at trouble picking the main pics. And usually I’m going to write something that’s more or less entertaining, but this time I’ll be serious. Well, kinda.
Anyhow, to open this writing, let me tell you a story.
Once upon a time, there was a boy. One day, he met a girl on his way to school. He immediately fell in love at the first sight. Quite a classic and basic love story, isn’t it? But, you can’t deny that there are…….exceptions for this case. I mean, probably someone who’s new to internet would say, “Huh? what do you meant?”
How about I tell you about the strangeness of attraction.
Let’s take a look at this girl first. I’m sure you guys (well, most of) know who
she is. Who doesn’t? She’s a (kinda) famous actress from Canada. She play in some films, her image was used (well, kinda) in a game title that at this point, is kinda overrated and creating lots of discussion (because of the ending and, I’m sure some of you guys saw this one coming, a certain scene from the game’s DLC); and also voice-acting in another game. Recently, she’s going out from her closet, and admits that she’s attracted in her own gender. You know, lesbian. This bring out several major debate on the internet. And so far, there are many support for her own decision. Me personally? That definitely take lots of guts and courage to spill out your deepest secret. Whether she’s using the wind that Naughty Dog blow using the DLC to raise up her name; or people back at Naughty Dog are really clever to know inside information, I don’t care. I still salute her decision. Still that DLC’s release date, though.

How about another example?
Meet Neil Patrick Harris. A guy who look really good on a suit. He’s playing a lot of roles on screen, but probably the most iconic is his role as the great (and in some way, pathetic) womanizer in one of American sitcom, who finally settling down on this season and the whole series’ finale. I feel bad already for resizing his picture. Man, I will miss him.
Anyhow, probably most of you already know this. But if you don’t………back in 2006, he’s announcing that he’s into guys. In other words, gay. Right now, he’s living happily with his partner, even having two children as we speak. But may I add something?. Boy, I’d kill for a set of suit like that.
Sexual orientation is closely related to attraction. Why? Because you never know who you truly attracted to. Who knows, maybe you will realize that you’re attracted to your own gender. Well, we know that there are 3 sexual orientation: Straight forward heterosexual, homosexual, and of course bisexual. Homosexuality itself also divided into two: gay and lesbian. I think I’ve explained two well-known cases up above. Along with religion, this probably one of the most persistent problem we have here on Earth. Combined, this will be a huge mess. Let’s take a look. During my 23 (well, almost 24 in….9 months) years walking in the world, I’ve met many interesting people. I knew some people who like……her own gender. I once asked, “Why?” to her, and she said that she’s too hurtful of men. That sentence kinda like a sharp pain to my heart.
Sometimes, it’s our own doing that someone’s changed. Including sexual orientation. Who knows, your harsh behavior to your partner may made her/him into seeking comfort from people with same sex? Indeed, with someone that’s on same gender, they will understand you better. No miscommunication, no mishaps, and happier relationship. But, is that all the truth? Back where I’m living here, there’s a guy who convicted for mutilating a guy, and buried him at some backyard near his place. When he got caught, what’s his M.O.? Well, he’s jealous. Turns out he’s…..into guys. I won’t say the name, because even though he was a criminal, but I don’t want to re-enact bad memories to victim and suspect’s families. He’s already executed.
Homosexuality maybe a cheap way to have a long-lasting relationship, but the rage on cheating usually fatal. Me myself always see things like religion and sexual orientation like this. “It’s their own life. The only thing I could do is talk to them about my piece of mind. Whether they want to accept it or not, it’s their own choice. I’m not their god”. Yeah, it’s clashes with my own life value. Yep, it will make their future children miss the father/mother figure. Yes, it will make the ‘family puzzle’ incomplete, and also rebelling from nature’s design of how human procreate their offspring. But, regardless of their own choice, they’re still human. They’re not alien. And I will respect them as humans. So stop making jokes about someone’s sexual orientation! It’s rude and immature as hell……..And this is why I don’t like serious talk. It’s this long already? Wow. Also, I apparently took this picture from a meme center. Oh well, what matters is the message.
Myself? I’m glad that people begin to open their tightly-knotted mind, and try to embrace differences. I’m sure many will still held on tot heir own life values. But that’s okay. This is just my piece of mind, and they have their own piece of mind.
