What is in your mind when you heard the word of ‘RAPING’? Sadistic? Feeling pity for the victim? Or maybe you want to help?
Yes the urge to help someone that being rape is something that anyone with good conscience want. But actually, what is raping itself? What makes someone want to rape another one? And why there’s so many rape cases around the globe? We will discuss a little about it and maybe we will try to look at the rapist point of view. While we’re look at the rapist point of view, some of you maybe will think that we don’t need feel pity to the rapist, feel bad if someone rape another one. But we still have to know about them a little, because they’re also human like us, but have a different way of think.
What is ‘rape’? Rape is when you try to having sexual relationship when your partner don’t want to have sex and you force your partner to have sex until your partner get hurt. Sometimes, rape can make someone die, because it’s followed with murdering the victim. Rape is something that all of us human don’t like and try not to do it. We hate rapes, we don’t like rapes. But, even we don’t like rape, some of the female have a sexual fantasies of being rape. But, fantasies of being rape and BE the rape victim is a really different things. Females fantasies for being rape, but they don’t want to be rape. Weird? Maybe for male it seems weird, but for female, it’s a way they fantasise. It’s like men who fantasise to be with so many women in the world that is sexy, pretty, hot, and sexually active, is something that also weird for women.
So back to rape, what actually makes someone to rape? The main thing of course, it’s because of sexual desire. Usually we can hold our sexual desire and try to flow it into another energy until we forgot about want sex. But there is one circumstance that you can’t hold your sexual desire. It is if you’re having schizophrenia. If you’re schizophrenia, you can’t hold your sexual desire because you have a fractured mind. Maybe you can hold your sexual desire, but it’s because of the effect of the medicine that you’re having. So, if you rape someone and you said you can’t hold your sexual desire, that means something is wrong in your brain.
Next is about why there are so many rape cases around the globe? Well most of it because they lost with their sexual desire or can’t hold the urge anymore and can’t pay a prostitute, they rape. Most of the rapist are from the poor society. Those who are homeless, who don’t have a partner, also some of them are pedophile. We try to suppress the rapes all over the globe, but sometimes we can’t
Let me tell you some of the case that happens in Indonesia, someone told me this story, the story of a daughter. So, on March 1998, there’s a really big riot happen in Indonesia, especially in Jakarta. The riot is because they don’t like with the goverment who rule the country like a dictator. The people of the country make riots everywhere, many of the stores we’re destroyed and many of the people try to go from Indonesia that time. When the riot happened, the people, that called themselves Indonesian people, having a racist state where they hate the Chinese people and those who are in the Chinese lineage. There’s a daughter that just got home from her campus, and that’s when the riot happened, she got caught by the Indonesian, and in the middle of the road, she got raped by many men. After she got raped, the Indonesian who really hate the Chinese, put shards of glass into her vagina. When her parents know it, she brought to Singapore and try to save her, but unfortunately she can’t be saved because the glass shards in her vagina unretractable. Also the doctors have policies that they can’t kill their patient instantly. Her parents just hear her screaming voice when she’s hurt because of the shard.
A tragic event happened to someone that is innocent. We will feel pity about the victim, but what about the rapist themselves? What should we feel about them. Should we feel angry, want to judge them by ourselves, or maybe do the same to them? Well, it depends. Why should I say depends? Again, they’re still human, like us, have feelings, but they also did something wrong. Do you know what happened to them when they got into the prison? If everyone of the prisoner know what they did, they will despise the rapist. Not like murderer, thief, burglar, rapist would be like the only person they can bully in the prison. It’s because they’re weak, they’re not like the murderer, no one afraid of them. And then after they got out from prison, they will be stranded, being alone, all by themselves. No one would get near them, and they don’t have any psychologist to help them. So, what society can do for them?
It is true that rapist are criminals, but that doesn’t mean criminals can be alienated. What if you’re the one who do criminalities, and than you got alienated by everyone from your society. Your friend will go away from you, your family don’t want to go near you anymore. You will be alone and it’s contradict with what humans need. Other than food and anything, human needs friend. Human needs someone to talk to, no matter who they are.
So, either it’s the victim or the raper, they’re still human and we need to be at least be near them, even they’re evil or not. We will still aware, but we can make human change from one to another perspective, we can change the rapist too. So, we need to be better as human, and give them a chance to change.
