Violence can be categorized in various types. It is not just some physical abuses.
It also include emotional/verbal abuse and envoronmental/social abuse.
We all can be the victims or the performer of violence in family.
I often saw a mother and a child in market store, who scolded the child so loudly and some of them even engaged in an ignoring behavior to the child.
For me, that is abuse.
Although they didn't physically hit their children.
But it is an emotional abuse.
Children who constantly being ignored by parents, or being scolded using harsh words,
They will be having some troubles in their future.
If you are so mad of your child,
Louder your voice tone doesn't really helped.
It maybe useful for the first and second times.
But if you do that all the time,
Scolding them with the yelling method, they would not hear what you said.
All their focus was the shocked feeling, and then when it becomes
so often, they will not even hear anything you said.
It simply does not mean that you can't be mad with your child. You can still be mad.
But you mad with them with a reason.
I knew there must be a reason why you mad with your child.
But tell them.
Tell them why you don't like their behavior.
Many parents, just focus on the mad feeling and forget to educate their children.
You must make sure that your child really understand why they can or cannot do something, not just expect them to stop the ridiculous behavior.
But they have to understand it.
Children who had experienced abuse, tend to have problems in their adolescences. They either become a performer of violences (antisocial) or low self-esteem.
And if that occur constantly to their young adulthood, it is hard for them to reach the value which is love and intimacy in Ericson hierarchy.
It is hard for them to bulid a proper relation to others.
Wifes who involved in violence, not just affect their own welfare, but also the growth of their children in home.
Be a wise parent for your children. Be a wise husband for your family and child.
Because children are the hope of this world.
