Actually the topic is "Women, and the Double Roles."
Double roles is defined as a mother in home and a worker in society.
I improvised it, because I thought that our mother didn't just have 2 basic roles. They can be whatever we need them to be.
Why? Imagine you are sick now. And then, first, your mother would become a doctor (behaviorally so) she would asked you, where the pain located, and touched your forehead or giving you a thermometer to scale your temperature.
And then, she will be a driver, taking us to hospital or clinic.
After the medical check-up, she will be a chef at home, to make healthy foods for us to consume.
She will be a laundry-nanny (in Indonesia), who will be washing all of our clothes in the mean time when we are sick, and in the bright morning tomorrow, she will be a business woman again.
How many roles are in the short story above?
It is not a doule roles. It is multiple roles.
What I learned in the lecture materials, is that, socially, culturally, and genetically. Being a woman with such many roles, in life, is not easy. If your mother, is a housewife, then she would be so so so noble. Why? Because, I thought that they might have abandoned some of their dreams in order to build this family, taking care of us, and make us to be a person.
Love and respect your mother.
They are like a living Buddha in our home.
You don't need any religions no more, if you understand that Mother is a proof of God's form and existence in our life.
Therefore, we called them mother, and they give their whole life to us.
Because they thought that we are a better person than them.
Because we are their hope.
So they gives us all the best whenever they can.
You don't need a handbook of how to be a mother and a worker at the same time.
When mother's eyes looking at us,
They know they will become whatever to be.
Mother, I Love You.
Thank you for working so hard for me.
Thank you for being a mother and a father at a same time for me.
And your no-limit of patience for facing a naughty and rebellious child like me.
Thank God, I have a mother!
