Last week, in the women psychology
class we watched a film about a breast reconstruction operation. In the film we
were showed the whole process of making a new breast from the patient’s own
tissue. I’m not going to share about the whole operation process, but I’m going
to share some of my thought that comes up after I watched the film.
After I watched the film, the first
thing that came up to my mind was “I need to change my lifestyle
immediately!”.
Hahaha. This film really gives me a
wake-up call to maintain my own health. I realize how expensive it will
cost
when you try to get your healthy body back. And it’s not only for the
material
cost that you have to spent, but also for all the energy, time, and
emotion. As
we know, many people these days are too busy and consumed by their
works. We easily forget to take care of our own body.
Especially for younger people in their 20s or 30s, we are used to stay
up all
night, not having a regular exercise, eat junk food, and many more. We
tend to
do that because we haven’t experience the effect of having that kind of
lifestyle. We are somehow too confident that we won’t catch any
diseases. I myself, often stay up all night especially in the weekend.
And when I think again, I often stay up all night doing meaningless
things such as watching TV or surfing the internet. And I rarely (almost
never) have an exercise in the past 2 years. So after I watch this
movie, it actually really scares me. This is why I say that this movie
give me a wake-up call.
