Sharing A Little Opinion (Imelda Victoria)

In my last semester, i did a little research about unmarried woman with my friends for qualitative method research class. It was a very interesting research! It’s interesting because i’ve found how society and family treated unmarried woman and unmarried men.

Based on literature, we found that unmarried woman encounter more people who asked the reason behind their single status than unmarried men. I’m interested in how and why they treated differently.

So~ This is my reason to take woman psychology class in this semester. I want to know why woman and men treated by society differently, and of course i want to know how woman seen in front of society.

I have my first woman psychology class on Monday, 13th august, with Mrs Henny Wirawan as the lecturer. This is our first day in 5th semester.. my second class.. and we’ve started the class already!oh~ i still missing my holiday back then hahahaha..

We started with an introduction for woman psychology. Just an introduction, but it seems like i will get my answer and more information about woman pscyhology in here.

What a rightful choice~ the class is fun! very fun! easy to understand and i also learn a lot about reality in women life.

There are about two line from Mrs. Henny’s speech that i remembered so much, “Wanita bangun dari matahari terbit sampai mata bapa terbenam” (women wake up when sunrise and go to sleep when their husband already slept) i saw that my mom really reflect this one. Not only my mom, another married woman must have experienced this too or else they will fighting with their husband all time and as the worst result.. maybe they will divorce.

Another line is, “Separuh penduduk di dunia adalah wanita dan ibu dari separuh penduduk lainnya” (Half of population in the world is woman and a mother for the other half). This is so true! But another half is men right?? and.. there is impossible for women to have child without men.. Mrs. Henny said this too.

I found that woman needs men and men needs woman too. So, me.. as a woman.. thinks that cooperation is the best way to settle everything. Woman must see men as their partner and men too.. must see woman as their partner, not as his/her.
